Letter Received by the ladies serving lunch at the mobile kitchen

 

To the good people who have fed us all week –

 

When we all stand before our Lord and savior and he asks you, when I was hungry did you feed me, when I was naked did you clothe me,  and when I was thirsty did you give me drink….

 

You will all be able to say, “Yes, Lord, we saw you in the people of Denham Springs and we provided for all that needed”.

 

My brothers and sisters, I cannot tell you how your delicious suppers have carried us through during these difficult times.  I am so thankful for all the hard work that went into each meal.

 

I also want to say that I was able to provide for friends and neighbors and when asked “Isn’t that the church you go to?”  I was so proud to be able to say “YES IT IS”!!!

 

How wonderful to know that the body of Christ has shown such love and kindness when hearts were needful and hurting.  I pray that these souls will remember all that was able to sustain them physically and will turn also for spiritual strength.

 

I love each of you in Christ, and thank you for the love that came in a Styrofoam box every day from 4 – 6 PM.
